To say that I was looking forward to this one for some time would be an understatement. I’ve known Jeff for some time and knew this would be a great event — then, after having the opportunity to work with his brother Ryan and his wife Kristin for their December wedding, I truly got a preview of what to expect — and I absolutely, positively was not disappointed! Brier Creek Country Club, in Raleigh, North Carolina served as the backdrop for all of the fun. Take a look at some shots below…

Cassidy – gymnast extraordinaire!

As some of you may know, I coach the Pole Vault for the Track and Field Team at Greensburg Salem. I am extremely fortunate to work with some great kids who are also unbelievably talented. Several of the girls I coach have a background in gymnastics, and it has helped them greatly in their development as pole vaulters. Yesterday I had the opportunity to catch one of these athletes, Cassidy, at her home gymnastics meet — and I was impressed to no end. I don’t even know how to accurately put in to words just how talented these young ladies are — you truly need to see it for yourself. The coaches at Westmoreland Gymnastics deserve a ton of credit. Beyond seeing the talent, I was very proud to hear so many of the younger gymnasts making comments about how much they look up to Cass — this is what it’s all about!

Beyond the cheese factor in that smile above, let me tell you about Cassidy in the bars. This was her last event, and, quite honestly, she had me scared to death — she didn’t have the best of warmups for the event and took a few falls in the process. But then it came time for the routine and she absolutely, positively nailed it — that’s the smile of “yeah, that’s right, I just CRUSHED that routine.”

Greensburg Salem presents Footloose

I had the opportunity to catch the dress rehearsal of Greensburg Salem’s production of the hit musical Footloose and was unbelievably impressed! I’m guessing that you’ve seen one of the movie versions of this, and I can assure you that the musical is just as good. Make sure to check it out either this Thursday, Friday or Saturday at 7:30 or Sunday at 2! Below are some previews from the show. There is truly something special about a wedding. I have truly had an incredible time working on these photographs — I’ve found myself smiling continuously, as the happiness shown in this day and these photographs is just contagious…
