Big Apple Hodgepodge…

I’m not really sure how to categorize these – observations from my trip, I guess…

From Eataly, 23rd and Broadway - oh my...

I thought this was on the ironic side...

... And thought this was much more appropriate...

I got one of these for Christmas when I was in 3rd grade. They were made by Honda - you pushed back on that piece and it took off...

I spent a little time at Strawberry Fields - actually, less than I was hoping to, mainly because this was all that was going on the entire time. I wonder how many of the people actually even knew who Lennon was.

This fountain was in Battery Park and these kids were having an absolute ball. Not sure what kind of a group it was, but the girl on the right was one of the counselors and the others worked for about half an hour before they could finally get her out in to the fountain.

Shenanigans...

Landscapes from the Big Apple…

It would be tough to walk the streets of New York City and NOT find great things to photograph. Here are some of my favorites from my recent trip…

I loved being able to capture this image of the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan and the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges...

While I didn't hit the Statue of Liberty because I've done it before, I did spend some time on Ellis Island. Great visit - it's almost eerie to walk through those rooms and the grand hall upstairs...

The building in the middle that's undergoing construction is the new World Trade Center.

The Brooklyn Bridge (new World Trade Center in the background).

A couple different looks at the Empire State Building...

My favorite building in New York City - the Flatiron Building...

Street Art from the Big Apple…

I recently had the chance to spend a week in the New York City area and had a great time taking in sites off the beaten path, so to speak. One of the things that I really noticed was just how varied this art form is in the Big Apple – and I was also surprised to see the sidewalks being used more than I’ve seen in other cities – some pretty cool stuff…

The colors on this piece were remarkable...

Loved what this hardware store did to spice things up...

Definitely has a Bansky "feel" to it...

Such a juxtaposition of ideas between these two stickers...

Loved the Spud Webb sticker...

West Point Little League 11-12 Playoff Game (8.1.11)

I had a great time today watching some very talented young men competing in the 11-12 year old age group of the Little League Playoffs at Latrobe’s Legion-Keener Field. A special congratulations to the West Point Red team, which won 12-6! Below are some photos from the day. For ordering information, please contact me at 724.552.6672 or lenzi@jclphotodesign.com
